A mysterious epidemic has wiped out the entire male population of Earth! Anything but a young man named Yorick Brown and his monkey, Ampersand. Chased by groups of women with diverse interests, Yorick and Esperluette set off on the devastated roads of the United States, under the protection of the mysterious and deadly Agent 355.

This is the synopsis of Y: The Last Man, a series that Americans will be able to discover at the start of the school year on Hulu. As for the French public, they will have to wait for a broadcast on the Star world of Disney +.

In this adaptation of the post-apocalyptic comics Y: the last man imagined by Brian K. Vaughan, it is actor Ben Schnetzer (The Truth about the Harry Quebert affair) who slips into Yorick’s skin. He plays Diane Lane (Man of Steel), Ashley Romans (NOS4A2), Diana Bang (The Order) and Olivia Thirlby (Juno).

Comic book fans have been waiting to see this story on screen for several years. In development since 2016, the series has seen a chaotic development with the departure of the two showrunners for creative reasons, then of certain actors (Barry Keoghan and Imogen Poots in the first place) …
