World’s First Gallery Camper Features Gorgeous Artwork

All these years we have been discussing about squeezing the kitchen and bathroom inside a camper. However, Coastal Arts Trail and Quirky Campers NZ had some other plans in their minds as they were successful in accommodating an entire art gallery inside the camper. While most people would stroll through art galleries during their camping adventure, you on other hand can book one art gallery on wheels for yourself and enjoy the perks of a campervan and art gallery in one.

Partnering with each other, Coastal Arts Trail and Quirky Campers NZ launched the world’s first gallery campervan in New Zealand. Dubbed Vallery, the campervan features over 50 artworks by 26 artists that have been cleverly incorporated into furniture, ceiling and other counterparts. These epic pieces of Kiwi art are sourced from galleries and artists’ studios throughout Taranaki, New Zealand with a motive to raise awareness around the arts and cultural offerings in Taranaki.

The gorgeous campervan is designed for ultimate Coastal Arts Trail experience and includes all the basic necessities camping and trailer enthusiasts could have asked for. The kitchen area has a two-burner gas stove, sink and generously sized fridge. Art find its face in every small big essentials including handcrafted plates, bowls and mugs.

NZ Herald reports nine Taranaki artists have works on exhibit inside Vallery, with a total of 23 items which includes a large-scale ceiling featuring a glowing night sky. The campervan also features a striking black-and-white arch depicting some of the region’s iconic native trees and birds. If you look keenly, you’d also find local beachscapes in Diane Stoppard’s pinhole photography breed on the campervan’s bedding.

Moving on to other nitty-gritty details, the campervan has a collective dining, living and sleeping area featuring comfortable furniture seats facing each other with a decent-sized table for wining and dining together. There is also a fixed double bed at the back of van that sleeps two people and a third convertible single bed, in case you plan on to bring your kids too.
