Meghan Markle hopes to avoid going to trial in his case against Mail on Sunday.
The Duchess of Sussex’s legal team will go to a UK court on Thursday October 29 to ask the judge for a summary judgment instead of going to trial, a decision which is only possible if there is a full confidence in the matter.
If the court rules against Meghan’s summary judgment request, her legal team intends to move forward with a request for a postponement of the trial, which is scheduled to begin on January 11.
The demand for more time comes after the recent inclusion of Omid scobie and Carolyn Durandbiography of, Find freedom. A delay in the trial will allow Meghan’s lawyers a greater window of time to respond to the contents of the book.
the Mail on Sunday asked to change their defense in September, saying the Duchess or her friends had cooperated with the writers in order to portray the former actress in a more favorable light.
