After the success of Les Chatouilles, Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer wrote and directed a new feature film, Quand tu sera grand, led by Vincent Macaigne and Aïssa Maïga.

Inspired by Andréa Bescond’s experience and taken from the play she created with Éric Métayer, Les Chatouilles was presented in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Praised by critics and the public, the film subsequently won numerous awards including the César for Best Adaptation for the duo and Best Supporting Actress for Karin Viard.
The tandem is now in the middle of shooting their second feature film, Quand tu sera grand. Produced by Les Films du Kiosque, this dramatic and social comedy takes place in a retirement home and tells the story of the confrontation between pre-adolescents, boarders and the staff who supervise these retirees.
As for the actors, Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer called on Vincent Macaigne, who will soon be showing in three films: L’Origine du monde, This music does not play for anyone and The French Dispatch. In the role of a caregiver, he gives the answer to Aïssa Maïga, who plays the animator of the group of children, but also to Marie Gillain and Carole Franck.
The first presented its documentary Marcher sur l’eau in the ephemeral “Cinema for the climate” section of the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, the second will be showing at Mystère in December and the last, which was already in the cast of the Tickles , could be seen in Gold for Dogs this year.
No release date has yet been announced for When You Grow Up.
