The Verneuil family is back for a 3rd episode! Filming has just started, still under the direction of director Philippe de Chauveron.

What we did next to the Good Lord, released in January 2019, was a hit, attracting 6.7 million spectators. This sequel had not reached the stratospheric score of the first opus (12.3 million) but still remained one of the biggest successes of the year.

A 3rd part was therefore quickly started, always with the same cast, led by Christian Clavier and Chantal Lauby in the roles of Claude and Marie Verneuil.

On his Instagram account, Medi Sadoun, who plays Rachid Benassem (one of Verneuil’s sons-in-law), posted a photo of him and of director Philippe de Chauveron, indicating that filming had just started.

“It’s re-ti-par! What have we all done to the Good Lord 3”, commented the actor. The first turns of the crank should have been launched at the end of last year, but the health crisis forced the production to postpone the shooting.

Titled What have we all done to God, this 3rd episode will focus on the in-laws of each of the Verneuil daughters, played by Frédérique Bel, Julia Piaton, Emilie Caen and Elodie Fontan.

For the 40 years of marriage of Claude and Marie Verneuil, their four daughters decide to organize a big surprise party in the family house of Chinon and to invite the parents of each of the sons-in-law there for a few days.

15 French comedies expected in 2021-2022: OSS 117, Les Tuche 4, Asterix …

Claude and Marie will have to welcome under their roof the parents of Chao, Rachid, David and Charles, still interpreted by Frédéric Chau, Medi Sadoun, Ary Abittan and Noom Diawara.

“I read it and laughed a lot. I had a lot of fun. I’m not going to tell you the story, but I find that Philippe de Chauveron manages to renew himself with this subject and he manages to take us elsewhere. We will discover all the families and we will have fun “, confided Chantal Lauby at the microphone of RTL.

What we all did to the Good Lord is due out on October 13, 2021 in theaters.
