Wanda & the Vision

An interesting book in more ways than one, this short volume is the fastest – and cheapest – way to learn about the comics of the two Marvel superheroes. This mini-anthology indeed offers four different adventures of the tandem, taken from series published over the years; the opportunity to follow the narrative and aesthetic evolution of the WandaVision comics, and to find in the same volume some emblematic stories, such as the origins of Vision (also explored in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron).

The Vision & the Scarlet Witch: marriage

Also presented in an anthological format, this second book opens with an extract from the Giant-Size Avengers series (1974) entitled May all men unite, an emblematic adventure of the WandaVision couple ending with their marriage in the presence of the other Avengers. The relationship of the two heroes is then explored in the four chapters also offered in this volume, extracts from the series. The Vision and the Scarlet Witch (1982); the story ends with the revelation of the origins of Scarlet Witch, an axis also addressed by the Disney + series (read our rebound paper from episode 5).

Wanda the Scarlet Witch – The Wizarding Route

Finally, the book Wanda the Scarlet Witch – The Wizarding Route offers an entire series in fifteen chapters, published in 2016. This adventure which sees Scarlet Witch undertake a solo tour of the world to explore witchcraft is the occasion of a fascinating dive into the skin of the super-heroine mutant; several characters well known to fans of the Marvel universe are also making appearances, such as his brother Pietro Maximoff alias Quicksilver.
