BECKER SEES HIS PAST REJUVENATING
Janet finds her partner particularly bothered since the day before and wonders if it is not the marriage which puts him in this state. After assuring that no, Becker indicates that he is working on an investigation that takes his head a little.
Meanwhile, Manu questions Martha, Laurent Viel’s wife. With tears in her eyes, she says she had dinner with her husband the day before his death. That evening, the couple quarreled because Martha confessed to her husband that she had had an affair with Tristan Chapuis, the director of the Opera. Given this testimony, Captain Léoni imagines that the two men may have fought and that it turned out badly.
He therefore summons Tristan and insists that he tell him the truth. Angry, the director of the Opera repeats that he saw the victim only to discuss the installation plan of the projectors. When the policeman talks about his affair with Martha, he ends up admitting that they argued about it with Laurent but that nothing more happened. Despite everything, Manu calls in the forensic doctor to auscultate him who discovers numerous bruises on his body.
Without waiting, Becker joins Tristan in the interrogation room and demands to know the origin of his bruises. The director of the Opera then claims to have had a fall on his bicycle. When Becker points out to him that there is still a lot of elements against him, Tristan replies that his former friend is instead seeking revenge for what happened twelve years ago. In view of the circumstances, however, Commissioner Becker is obliged to take him into custody and advises him to find a good lawyer.
Subsequently, Clément meets Bernier and informs him of the placement in custody of the director of the Opéra de Montpellier. Tristan Chapuis being an emblematic figure of the cultural world in the region, the prosecutor however invites the police officer to be vigilant. In all transparency, Becker specifies that he has known Tristan for years before guaranteeing his impartiality.
Back home, Becker is worried, which does not escape Janet. He then says that the main suspect in the case he is working on is Tristan Chapuis, a long-time friend he had not seen for ten years. In reality, Tristan was the lover of his ex-wife and it is therefore because of him that he divorced. He then makes Janet promise not to say anything because Sabine is not aware of this whole story.
CHARLES SUPPORTS LESS AND LESS THE SITUATION WITH ANISSA
Back from her stay in Spain, Inès returns to the roommate and sets the music up to wake up her friends, then tells them with enthusiasm about her holidays in Barcelona.
Later, Inès finds her mother. Surprised that his daughter left for the weekend at the start of the school year, Mo wanted to know if she wanted to stop studying. Even if the young woman recognizes that she has questions, she refuses to talk more about it.
At the same time, Anissa and Charles are alone at the roommate. When she signals him that he hasn’t looked at her once since she entered the room, Charles replies that he wants to jump on her when he sees her. Immediately, she throws herself into his arms and kisses him. After sharing a moment of intimacy, Anissa feels guilty. To change her mind, Charles invites her to go for a drink, but she declines.
Subsequently, Charles, who can no longer bear to see Anissa and Antonin so in love, confides in Eliott. Although the young woman will never leave Antonin, Charles is convinced that something strong is happening between them and that Anissa is in love with him. For Eliott, he is on the wrong track and instead advises him to leave her before he suffers.
A few kilometers away, Inès tells her friends about the clash she had with her mother because of her studies. As she plans to stop school, Antonin admits that she has been different for some time. But according to her, she just wants other things right now.
