Thursday August 26 in Un Si Grand Soleil …
Akim reconsiders his statements and Abu finally reveals the whole truth
After talking to the IGPN inspector and going back on his statements, Akim confides in Lucille that he is afraid that Thierry Valois is seeking revenge and denounces him for the loss of his weapon. Lucille tries to reassure him and thinks he made the right decision.
Later, Akim and Thierry are heard by Aline Roux from IGPN. Akim confirms that he did not attend the arrest and explains that the young Abou was already on the ground when he arrived. According to him, he therefore saw nothing and does not know what may have happened before.
Aline Roux believes Thierry pressured Akim to cover him up by confirming his version, but Akim lies and swears that is not true. He assures us that Thierry had his back and that he could not know that Akim had not seen anything. Aline Roux therefore comes to the conclusion that it is possible that Akim sought to go in the direction of Thierry because the latter is his superior.
Once Akim leaves the interrogation room, Thierry sticks to his version and swears not to have harmed Abu. But Aline Roux points out to him that some of the wounds found on the body of the young sans-papiers do not match his version of the facts. While waiting for the reconstitution, Aline Roux suspends Thierry on a conservatory basis.
Akim feels bad. He knows that some of his colleagues, informed, judge him and resent him. But, fortunately, Manu gives him his support. For him, if Thierry was at fault, he must assume the consequences. Manu advises Akim to never forget why he wanted to join the police. This is what will allow him to stay the course.
Thierry, meanwhile, can count on the support of Pascal, his union friend who finds this reconstitution unacceptable. Pascal wants to bring hell to Akim but Thierry refuses to go that far. He thinks Akim is a good person and he wants Pascal to leave him alone. According to Thierry, even if Akim made a mistake, he was mostly trapped by Aline Roux.
At the hospital, Janet reassures Abou before the reconstitution. She tells the young man that he can trust the IGPN inspector and urges her to tell him the whole truth. According to Janet, this is the only way to be able to move on and move on.
During the re-enactment, Thierry repeats once again that Abu fell while trying to escape him. Aline Roux tries to understand how Abou was able to make such a hematoma on the level of the skull. Akim then nods to Abu and the latter ends up confessing the truth. Thierry tackled him to the ground and ended up banging his head against the sidewalk.
