FLORENT MAKES A DECISION CONCERNING VERNEUIL
In the middle of the night, Carole hears a noise in front of her bungalow. Panicked, she immediately calls Gary. After having gone around the campsite, the latter joins her and assures that he has not seen anyone prowling around. Carole then thanks him warmly and then apologizes to him for having kissed him a few days earlier. In turn, Inès’ father regrets having been so clumsy and then specifies that he would have acted differently in other circumstances. A few steps away, Bourdais watches them carefully.
The next morning, Carole tells Bourdais what happened, who reminds her that it is to him that she must call in this kind of situation. Only, Carole is afraid of him and is not really reassured in his presence unlike with Gary. For Bourdais, she puts the manager of the campsite in danger by acting like this and he therefore urges her to trust her because he is the only one who can protect her.
Meanwhile, Florent meets Verneuil in the visiting room. Without detour, the lawyer asks him to stop walking around and tell him the truth. His client may affirm that he is not involved in drug trafficking, Florent does not believe him and makes him understand that he will have to look for a new lawyer.
For his part, Thierry thinks he has found the motorcycle of Samuel, Pilar’s accomplice, in a scrapyard. The scientific police must now assess it.
Not far from there, Florent tells Claire that he will no longer defend Verneuil. A conversation that has not escaped Enzo who hastens to announce the news to Aurore. If the young man thinks it’s better this way, Aurore is worried.
At the same time, Manu questions Doctor Alphand because he was the one who treated Pilar’s accomplice after his accident. The policeman then discovers that Samuel has to come the next day to have his stitches removed.
AKIM ENDS HIS STORY WITH LUCILLE
After spending a few days in Barcelona, Lucille is back in Montpellier. After reflecting on their situation, the young woman understood that her companion’s work was important to him and that she could not make him give up everything for her. This is why she offers him to continue their story from a distance. Thus, Akim could continue to work in Montpellier and find her in Barcelona at the weekend. Unfortunately, this solution does not please Akim at all, who wants his girlfriend to stay in Montpellier. However, Lucille refuses to put a stop to her career by missing out on such a professional opportunity. Moreover, she has found an apartment and must return to Spain the next day to sign the lease before taking up her new duties next week. Annoyed, Akim goes to work.
Afterwards, Lucille tells Ludo about the current tensions with Akim. Certain that he will eventually change his mind, the healer advises him to give him time to think things over. Despite everything, Lucille is not very optimistic about the rest of their story.
For his part, Akim confides in Élise and tells her that he does not want to have a long-distance relationship when he was considering moving up a gear by starting a family with Lucille. However, Elise advises him to think carefully before dropping everything on a whim.
Later, Akim comes across Noémie doing her deliveries and apologizes to her. Indeed, the policeman admits having lost his temper when taking him to the station and then specifies that he withdrew his complaint. Without going into details, he says that it’s a bit of a mess in his life at the moment. Noémie then invites him for a coffee, which he accepts.
At the end of the day, Akim returns home and puts an end to his story with Lucille. Judging the approach of his selfish companion, he understood that he will never be his priority. At this announcement, Lucille bursts into tears.
