Delhi Crime is about the horrific gang-rape incident happened in Delhi in 2012, the police investigation, the nabbing operation, and its aftermath. The seven-episode Netflix show is intriguing and keeps you glued to your seats.
The makers have accumulated a wonderful bunch of great performers such as Shefali Shah, Adil Hussain, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang. Directed by Richie Mehta, Delhi Crime is not just a crime thriller. It’s about how the people related to the case, one way or another, dealt with the shocking situation and the after-effects.
The Final Call
Arjun Rampal starer Zee5 web series ‘The Final Call’ is an interesting watch. Based on Priya Kumar’s novel “I Will Go With You: The Flight Of A Lifetime”, it is the story of an ill-fated plane full of passengers who faced the biggest trouble of their lives. Rampal is playing the role of a suicidal ex-air-force officer Karan Sachdeva who is haunted by the ghosts of his past.
Something goes horribly wrong with the flight mid-way. An astrologer on the plane even predicts that “the end is near”. Are the passengers on the last flight of their lives? Will they reach successfully to their destination? Well, you have to watch it to know. There are some really great performances by amazing actors such as Javed Jaffery, Sakshi Tanwar, Neeraj Kabi, Anupriya Goenka, and Vipin Sharma. It is directed by Vijay Lalwani.
After Mirzapur, Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey are back again! Hotstar specials ‘Criminal Justice is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia and dialogues are written by Anukriti Pandey. It is a hard-hitting thriller with an unusual plot and unexpected twists. Massey is playing Aditya Sharma, son of a cab driver, who one unfortunate night takes the cab of his father, and picks up a woman (Madhurima Roy). The things escalate quickly and he spends the night at her place.
Next day he finds her dead and it’s when everything starts getting creepy and chaotic. Police arrest him for suspicion of murder. The whole series revolves around the question that whether he is actually a cold-blooded killer or not. Pankaj Madhav Sharma (Tripathi) is playing a money-minded lawyer who accepts the case for his own personal reasons. Mustafa (Jackie Shroff) is Aditya’s prison cellmate who believes in his innocence and tries to save him from the struggles of prison. The USP of the show is the performances delivered by Tripathi, Shroff, and Massey.
Laakhon Mein Ek – Season 2
The second instalment of this critically-acclaimed web series is about a happy-go-lucky junior doctor Shreya Pathare (Shweta Tripathi). Her world turns upside down when her superior sends her to a village to organize a cataract camp where she finds some shocking truths about the black market of medicines.
Created by Biswa Kalyan Rath, the first season of the anthology show was about a boy (Ritwik Sahore) whose parents want him to join IIT and send him to a coaching institute against his wishes. It received good critical reception and the fans are waiting eagerly for the second season, which is going to be aired on Amazon Prime soon.
