1. Escalquens
Located on the edge of Toulouse Métropole, Escalquens has everything to please: it’s quiet, there are all the shops you need, two or three restaurants, as many bars, a bookstore, a kindergarten, a primary school and a college and we are close to everything. 10 minutes from Toulouse, at the gates of Lauragais, Escalquens offers serious advantages.
2. Belberaud
Located just after Escalquens, this small village certainly lacks a few shops (even if there is a supermarket) but in terms of tranquility, it’s the best. And again, it only takes a 10 minute drive to find civilization.
3. Lacroix-Falgarde
If real estate prices prohibit many Toulouse residents from considering moving to Lacroix-Falgarde, the village is the subject of much covetousness. The living environment here is particularly pleasant, close to the Ariège-Garonne confluence, one of the wildest green spaces in the region. The history of the place, marked by the pastel, also plays in the prestige that it highlights with tourists and locals.
4. Labege
Very popular, the small town of Labège is known for its shopping center and its multiplex as well as for its profusion of restaurants and other little corners of nature. Needless to say, places are as rare as they are expensive.
5. Quint-Fonsegrives
Here too there is everything necessary. The city center is rather dynamic. No problem finding everything you need without ever setting foot in the big city.
6. Baziege
Very popular, Baziège receives many votes from the inhabitants of Toulouse who dream of settling there. It is green, quiet and particularly welcoming for families.
7. Union
If traffic jams don’t discourage you, L’Union can be a great alternative. There is everything and we are not far from the Toulouse hyper-centre. A town of just over 11,000 inhabitants, located not far from the motorway which leads in particular to Albi, where life is good.
8. Cornebarrieu
The big advantage is that here, we are very close to the airport and one of the largest shopping centers in the Toulouse region. There are schools, many shops and a little to the west, you come directly to the forest of Bouconne, which is a natural choice for walks on Sunday afternoons.
9. Ramonville Saint-Agne
Ideally located, Ramonville is known for its Bikini, the emblematic concert hall of Toulouse, but also for its walks along the Canal du Midi, its many shops and its close proximity to Toulouse, not far from the faculties of pharmacy, medicine and cie, as well as aerospace sites.
10. Castanet-Tolosan
In the extension of Ramonville, Castanet also cuts an excellent figure, with its beautiful central avenue, its many shops and its easy access to Toulouse. In addition, finally, we are not very far from Carcassonne either. For weekend getaways, it’s perfect!
