Once his baccalaureate is in his pocket, will Jules Corkas leave Sète for Lyon, thus leading to the departure of Xavier Widhoff from “Tomorrow belongs to us”? This is in any case what suggests an extract from the next episodes unveiled by TF1.
In a few weeks, a large part of the teens of Tomorrow belongs to us will be passing the baccalaureate and bid farewell to Paul Valéry high school. Thus opening the field of possibilities for the future of the characters, who might not all stay in the series. Like Jessica (Garance Teillet) and Margot (Marysole Fertard), who ended up leaving Sète in 2019, shortly after the results of the bac.
And to believe an unpublished extract unveiled in preview by TF1 today, Jules Corkas (Xavier Widhoff) seems to be the first to plan for the future. Mad with joy, the teenager indeed announces to his mother and to Martin (Franck Monsigny) that he has passed the online preselection tests for a prestigious computer school in Lyon and that he was selected for the last test.
A news which means that he will have to leave for Lyon in a few days, for a period of several weeks, since this last phase of selection, nicknamed “The swimming pool”, consists of a total immersion of one month, during which the candidates just code.
Virginie (Audrey Looten) is worried about the future of her son, who has to take the baccalaureate in June, but Jules reassures her: he has already made arrangements with the school and will be able to go back and forth for the tests. .
The only downside: his relationship with Charlie (Clémence Lassalas), who might not stand the shock of the distance. Indeed, in the episode of Tomorrow belongs to us broadcast this Thursday on TF1, the teenager will react very badly when Jules will announce his departure the next day for Lyon. Especially since if Jules is accepted into the school, he will have to start his training immediately. Undermining the vacation plans Charlie had made for them this summer.
Will Jules finally convince her that their love can resist distance and that he has no intention of forgetting her in the arms of the first comer, as Charlie seems to fear? Or will the latter decide to go and do her studies in Lyon as well once she has her baccalaureate? The future will tell.
Because if Xavier Widhoff should therefore be absent from some of the episodes broadcast in June on TF1, nothing says for the moment that he will leave the series definitively or that his character will be admitted to the school of his dreams. But when we know that there is no university in Sète, it seems in any case almost certain that fans of the series will have to say goodbye to some final year students in the months to come.
So who from Judith (Alice Varela), Noor (Sahelle de Figueiredo), Souleymane (Dembo Camilo), Arthur (Théo Cosset), Gabriel (Martin Mille), Sofia (Emma Smet), or Timothée (Grégoire Champion) will say goodbye to Sète soon? And who will enter working life, like Bart (Hector Langevin) who now manages Little Spoon with Louise?
This renewal of the characters seems in any case inevitable and could thus allow certain young actors revealed by Tomorrow belongs to us to devote themselves to other projects. Or join Here It All Begins if one of the characters suddenly discovers a passion for cooking – which doesn’t seem to have been initiated yet, but you never know.
To compensate for these possible departures, which should occur on the screen this summer if they were to be confirmed, the writers have already started to integrate a new generation of younger adolescents, registered in Third, Second, or Premiere at Paul Valéry. And which will not fail to punctuate the next intrigues.
Such as Mathilde and Aurélien, the children of Louise, Maud and Camille, the daughters of Xavier, or Solenne, Ben, Océane, and Gaspard, the many children of Sacha (Renaud Roussel), who could continue to appear in Tomorrow belongs to us at the future, regardless of the outcome of the current plot devoted to the disappearance of Clémentine (Linda Hardy), for which their father seems responsible.
