Tomorrow belongs to us: what is the connection between Anthony and the hostage taker? [SPOILERS]

In the next episodes of “Tomorrow belongs to us”, while the hostages will discover the true face of Anthony (Benjamin Gaitet), the police will finally understand what links the young man to Ophélie (Solange Fréjean), his accomplice.

For the launch of its fifth season, marked by the arrival of a new showrunner at the head of the series, Tomorrow belongs to us decided to strike hard with a new disaster arch which began a few days ago and features a hostage-taking in the Spoon, the emblematic bar of the soap opera.

As the 1000th episode approaches, broadcast Thursday August 26 on TF1, several characters, including Chloé (Ingrid Chauvin), Alex (Alexandre Brasseur), Charlie (Clémence Lassalas) and Tristan (Mathieu Alexandre), find themselves in danger.

And the situation will take an unexpected turn during tonight’s episode (already available on Salto), when Anthony (Benjamin Gaitet) shoots Ulysses (Sébastien Capgras) to protect Ophélie, the hostage taker.

Shocked by this turnaround, the small group forcibly retained inside the Spoon will therefore understand that Anthony was in cahoots from the start with Ophélie (Solange Fréjean). But what are the two hostage takers really looking for? And what is their connection?

In a new excerpt from Tomorrow belongs to us Unveiled in preview on MyTF1, Roxane (Raphaële Volkoff) and Sara (Camille Genau) share their discovery with Martin: Anthony and Ophélie are much more than just accomplices since they are brother and sister!

An important piece of the ongoing plot that the most attentive fans of the hit daily soap may have already guessed since the end-of-episode credits had already revealed for several days that the two characters shared the same last name, namely Messy.

Roxane explains to Martin (Franck Monsigny) that Ophélie and Anthony Messy, respectively physical trainer in Nancy and temporary worker in the construction industry, have no record and are apparently young people without history. But it is in reality in the history of their family that one must delve into to understand the drama which is being played out in Spoon.

Their father, Olivier Messy, is a notorious robber suspected of a dozen robberies and sentenced to twenty years in prison in 2010. Martin wishes to question him to find out more, but Sara tells him that he died in prison there at six months.

Commander Constant then orders Sara to approach the prison to find out if his children were in contact with him and if anyone had visited him before his death. But also to delve into Olivier Messy’s criminal past, in order to know his possible accomplices and his modus operandi.

As for Roxane, she must continue to be interested in the Spoon and the history of the building before it becomes a cafe. “Two kids without a fuss don’t get freaked out overnight. So we’ll find out why”, concludes the police commander, who understood that the key to this case is inside the Spoon.

Could Ophelia and Anthony Messy be in search of a forgotten treasure, coveted in vain by their father at the time? Unless it was loot that the latter would have buried in the basement of the Spoon after one of his heists? Answer next week in Tomorrow is ours.
