ALEX TAKES OVER THINGS IN HAND

While Clementine, Ulysses and Sacha are at their worst, Ben continues to dig. When Martin calls for news, the teenager informs him of the group’s critical state of health and begs the policeman to help him. After telling him that he is doing very well for the moment, Martin promises to find a solution quickly. Worried, Commander Constant then warns the Colonel of the situation and insists that he get the survivors out through the fault in the cave. Unfortunately, the high-ranking official is formally opposed to it and evokes the dangerousness of the operation before prohibiting access to the site to families. Meanwhile, Georges is still in so much pain despite the operation. As he wonders if this is normal, Victoire replies that his pain is reversible and asks him to rest. For her part, Judith can no longer be locked up and has lost all hope that the emergency services will succeed in getting them out of there. However, Dr. Lazzari encourages her to stay positive and then hugs her to cheer her up. Nearby, Ben takes care of his father and apologizes for all the harm he has done him. In tears, Ben then swears to make efforts with Clémentine when they are out of the situation and adds that he has no right to prevent her from being happy. Sacha, who is moved by his son’s words, hugs him while telling him how much he loves him. At the same time, Amanda is convinced that the police are hiding something from them. To put pressure on them and get answers, she arrives on the site with Chloe and Alex. Moments later, the nurse takes advantage of the Delcourt couple discussing with Martin to sneak into the tent and grab a walkie-talkie in order to communicate with Ulysses. Discovering the seriousness of his condition, Amanda urges him to hold on. When he sees her doing it, Martin has no other choice but to explain to the families that the survivors are all sick and that they can no longer dig to join the second group. Even if the commander is convinced he can change the Colonel’s mind, Alex knows he won’t and decides to go through the rift to descend into the cave.

MAXIME IS DETERMINED TO PASS THE INSTITUTE COMPETITION

At the Spoon, Anaïs and Enzo look for a way to dissuade Maxime from taking the competition. While Delcourt’s son joins them for a drink, the couple make him understand that he does not have enough cooking experience and that it would be better for him to try the competition next time. Despite the discouraging speech of his friends, Maxime returns home and warns his mother of his departure for Calvières in the evening in order to prepare for the entrance exam to the Auguste Armand Institute. Sure of his success, Chloe rejoices for him and says she is very happy that he has finally found his way. Maxime then goes to the farmhouse to announce the good news to his father. Alex, who is very proud of himself, says that he strongly believes in his success before hugging him. At the same time, Enzo finds Noémie in her hotel room and notices that she continues to take antidepressants. The young assistant clarifies that she is going through a bad period but guarantees that she has no intention of doing anything stupid. Enzo then declares that he will always be there for her then Noémie admits that having him in her life makes him long before kissing her. After having made love, they arrive at the hut to help Anaïs tidy up. While she gets to work, Noémie sees a vision of Amandine appear. When her students catch her chatting in a vacuum, the young woman claims that she wasn’t talking to anyone.
