REGIS DAUNIER IS DEAD
Among the Dauniers, anxiety is at its peak. Brigitte tells Aurore and William that her marriage has been on the rocks for some time now. And the trip they made to the Canary Islands a few months earlier unfortunately did not allow them to pick up the pieces. As they kept arguing, Régis decided to come and spend a few days in Sète to meet up and ask himself what he expected from life. During the conversation, she then indicates that she made a round trip to Sète last Friday because her husband refused to return. Having quarreled again, Brigitte left without even saying goodbye to him.
At the station, Lisa investigates the strange disappearance of Régis and consults his bank accounts. Obviously, he made quite a few cash withdrawals to the point of siphoning off the couple’s savings. Something to surprise Aurore who knows that her in-laws haven’t had any major expenses lately. On the other hand, she remembers that Régis was addicted to gambling and that he had been banned from the casino. Lisa wonders then if he would not have reconnected with his old demons. According to her, he could have gotten into debt with the wrong person and got into serious trouble. Subsequently, Aurore informs her colleague that her mother-in-law made a return trip to Sète last Friday and that the discussion degenerated. Brigitte may have a complicated character, but Aurore does not see her physically attacking her husband.
Karim meanwhile searched the Daunier home. According to his information, Régis’ phone stopped for the last time on Friday at 7:38 p.m., right at the time of his disappearance. In fact, Brigitte could be the last person to have seen it.
She was therefore summoned to the police station. Seriously suspected of having harmed her husband, the latter rebels and criticizes her stepdaughter for not reacting to such accusations. Since Aurore makes her understand that it is important for her to tell what really happened, Brigitte recounts the last discussion she had with her husband and specifies that she would have told him to take advantage of these fifteen days to take care of the garden. It is from there that they would have said their four truths before she took the train to Paris around 4 p.m.
At the hospital, Bénédicte and William wonder about their mother’s involvement in Régis’ disappearance. Insofar as they imagine the worst, Étienne says that he is convinced that his stepmother is innocent. He therefore advises them to be present for her in this difficult ordeal.
Not far from there, Georges managed to retrieve the serial number of Régis’ connected watch. Thanks to the signal it still emits, he manages to obtain the GPS coordinates. Without waiting, Aurore and Karim go there and land in a forest. When Captain Saeed notices that the earth has been turned over, Aurore starts digging and discovers a hand. Although Karim advises her not to go any further, Aurore continues to dig to be sure that it is not her stepfather. Unfortunately, it is indeed Régis.
BENJAMIN MAKES A BLUR THAT CHARLIE DOESN’T PLEASE
In high school, François and Charlie meet Benjamin and Alma. While his companion makes the introductions, Doctor Ventura is mistaken and immediately thinks that Charlie is the daughter of the professor. Realizing his mistake, he apologizes to her.
Later, Charlie invites Nathan and Gabriel to have a drink at François’s. If the latter are first excited, they change their minds when they learn that their English teacher will be present. Even Adam slips away.
In the evening, Alma, Benjamin, François and Charlie get together for an aperitif. While the adults debate national education, Charlie suggests that they play “Who am I?” to lighten the mood. To avenge herself for having taken her for François’ daughter, the young woman then tries to make him guess “Doctor Maboul”.
Upon returning home, Benjamin confides in Alma that he found Charlie defiant. If she judged her colleague very in love, he is still not very comfortable with their age difference. He even wonders if such a relationship can be viable over time.
Charlie as for her still does not forgive Benjamin for having taken her for his daughter. Since they haven’t been tactile with each other, the young woman is betting that Alma and Benjamin’s relationship won’t last more than a month yet.
AMEL AND ADAM RECONCILIATE
In the early morning, Amel takes her sister to the exhibition and shows her Adam’s photo. Although Lisa recognizes that the young man should have spoken to her about it before, she nevertheless believes that there is nothing embarrassing in the cliché. As her sister is uncomfortable, Lisa reminds her that she can always ask her classmate to have the photo taken down. However, Amel refuses. Lisa then confides how wonderful she finds the photo and even says she is certain that Adam is interested in her.
Meanwhile, Nathan overhears Camille looking at Adam’s photos. Very impressed by his gift, she wonders if he would agree to do a shoot with her. Nathan then understands that Camille has also fallen for Adam. She may affirm the opposite, Nathan does not believe her.
At the end of the day, Adam arranges to meet Amel at the Spoon. After apologizing to her for sending this photo without her permission, he tries to find out if it didn’t spoil what was happening between them. Amel promises him no and even agrees to have dinner with him in order to avoid the aperitif he has at his house.
