THE POLICE MAKES A DISCOVERY ON THE DEATH OF CLÉMENT
In the morning, Georges and Damien Juliard, the new technician of the PTS, go to the morgue. According to the autopsy report, the shock following Clement’s fall resulted in cardiac arrest. Even though the teenager’s body shows numerous traces of scarification, Mike cannot yet establish whether it is a suicide or a murder.
During this time, Victoire blames herself terribly for not having succeeded in detecting the psychological distress in which her patient was and confides in Marianne who tries to reassure her. In vain.
For her part, Chloe accuses the blow and does not manage to realize that Clément killed himself. As Camille and Maud wonder if their comrade really committed suicide, Xavier replies that an investigation is open and that the police will do their job. He then reassures Chloe by affirming that she did everything she could to help the young man.
As for him, Martin goes to Lætitia and tells her that traces of scarification have been found on Clément’s body. If her son has never been suicidal, the mother indicates, however, that he experienced phases of depression because of his health problems. Devastated, Lætitia blames herself terribly for not having detected her discomfort. And while she is trying to find out if he really committed suicide, Martin specifies that it is still too early to know.
At Agnès Varda high school, the drama feeds all the discussions. While some fear that a murderer is hiding among them, Lina and Maël, two high school students passionate about various facts, believe on the contrary that it would be great. Seeing the students gathered at the scene of the tragedy, Irene sees red and orders them to return to class. Chloe, who understands that all this is very difficult for her, urges her to take a few days off but she retorts nastily that she will end up coping because she is professional.
At the same time, Damien and Georges learn that epithelial cells have been discovered under the nails of the deceased and therefore quickly conclude that Clément may have been pushed by someone from the top of the stairs.
A short distance away, Olivier joins his daughter at the hospital. Worried about her, he encourages her to confide in him. Without emotion, Garance then tells him that it is not because Clément is dead that she intends to forgive him for his infidelity. And to repeat that she has no mercy for him. Suspicious, Olivier asks her to tell him what really happened between them.
TRISTAN TAKES A RADICAL DECISION
Bart and Louise receive a message from Tristan who wants to call them in an hour because he has something important to tell them. The couple are worried and imagine that they intend to remove the management of Little Spoon from them. In fact, Tristan has made an important decision and offers Bart and Louise to buy back the Spoon. If Flore’s son is particularly excited at the idea of taking over the reins of the bar, Louise is much more reluctant.
Aware of the investment that this requires to have herself run a restaurant in Montpellier before arriving in Sète, the mother is also afraid of going into debt for many years but also of running out of time for her daughter. Bart may have the certainty that they will manage to get by, his partner prefers to take the time to think it over.
Bart then tells his mother about Tristan’s proposal. As he is afraid of not finding a bank that will agree to lend him money, Flore is ready to be a surety but Bart refuses to take such a risk. Certain that they will be a hit, she pushes him to embark on this new adventure.
At the end of the day, Bart and Louise enthusiastically announce to Mathilde that they are going to take over the Spoon.
AUDREY TESTS THE AUTONOMY OF HER CHILDREN
At the Roussels, Audrey reunites her children for a council of war. Having to go to Perpignan for three months to replace a beautician on maternity leave, Audrey sets up an organization so that her children can manage themselves in her absence. In order to see if they are able to cope, she intends to test them all week.
Lizzie being the head of the family for the week, she charges Jack to take care of the groceries and Jordan to cooke. As the oldest sibling wants to buy better quality products than the first prices, Lizzie eventually switches their chores.
But as soon as his sister’s back is turned, Jordan takes some of the money and goes to La Paillote for a drink. Back home, Lizzie notices that her brother has used the envelope reserved for groceries. Admitting that he has abused, the young man promises to find a solution to fill the fridge.
Jordan later kept his promise and returned with unsold items from the market and surrounding businesses that he had obtained for a pittance.
