Charlie confronts Anthony
At the police station, Charlie is questioned as a witness by Karim. Virginie, her lawyer, argues that she fell under the influence of Anthony, and that she developed feelings for him under the effect of Stockholm syndrome.
But Karim does not hear it that way. He knows Charlie had a relationship with Anthony before the fact. In addition, several witnesses of the drama saw him recover the weapon of Ophélie that one of the hostages had managed to steal to return it to the robber, which proves his complicity. For his part, Charlie denies any involvement in the operation.
Karim then decides to confront Charlie with Anthony, imprisoned and awaiting trial. When the investigator asks him if Charlie had any involvement in the robbery, Anthony laughs, and says he has no consideration for the young woman. He considers her a pot-de-glue, and accuses her of having derailed the hostage-taking through his fault.
Deeply hurt at these words, Charlie is despite everything cleared thanks to Anthony’s testimony, which proves that she acted out of emotion and not premeditation during the hostage-taking. When she leaves the police station, Virginie accompanies her to her parents, and advises them to take care of the psychological state of their daughter, very affected by the latest events.
Jack launches a bullion hunt at the same time as Nathan
While reading the newspaper, Sylvain points out to Christelle that one of the ingots of the robbery was lost in nature after the hostage-taking broke down. He is enthusiastic about the amount he represents: nearly fifty thousand euros! Christelle sighs, struggling to believe that her husband is in such a good mood so soon after having escaped a tragedy.
Nathan did not miss this information either. At the straw hut, he motivates his friend Dorian to go in search of the ingot, following information obtained from Charlie by Hadrien on the place where the ingot would be, on the outskirts of the forest.
For his part, Jack, who has heard of the same advice, leads Jordan and Lizzie into the woods, equipped with a metal detector that he has borrowed. As they take a break, they cross paths with Nathan and Dorian, and understand that they have been given the same directions. However, neither Nathan nor Jordan want to team up to facilitate their research. Each group therefore sets out again in search of the treasure.
Clement continues to lie to Garance
After spending the weekend in the hospital, Clément still does not know the origin of his crisis on the beach last Friday while he was with Garance. The doctor, however, assures his mother that it was not a stroke as she feared.
Now authorized to leave the hospital, Clément crosses paths with Garance and reassures her about her condition. As they kiss, Garance overhears a text message sent by Mathilde on the screen of Clément’s cell phone, and asks her suspiciously who it is. He claims it is his 12-year-old cousin. For her part, Mathilde despairs that Clément ghosted her all weekend, after telling her that he was uneasy.
Back home in the evening, his mother encourages him to rest, and closes the door to his room when leaving. Now alone, Clement searches under his bed and pulls a large knife out of the gap between his box spring and the mattress. Looking absent, he observes the blade …
Chloe takes up her duties as principal
It’s the big day for Chloe, who is making her first comeback as a principal at Agnès Varda high school. After receiving Alex’s congratulations, she goes to the establishment where she is greeted by Irene, the school’s CPE. She shows him around the premises, and assures him that she can count on her in case of need.
By questioning her about her family life, Irene is very surprised when Chloe reveals to her that her last child is only a few months old. She then warns her about the heavy workload that her predecessor had to cut, with very restrictive extended hours.
Later, while having a drink with Sandrine who is about to leave for Martinique, Chloe tells her of her apprehension at the idea of not being up to the job. Sandrine reassures her, but nevertheless suggests that she beware of Irene. Indeed, the CPE coveted Chloe’s position before it was assigned to her, and may well put a stick in her wheels …
