After the suicide attempt of Marc and Lucie in “Tomorrow belongs to us”, Véry’s body will be found by the police in the next episode. But what about Lucie (Lorie Pester)? Did she miraculously survive her fall?
As often in the impossible love stories of the small and the big screen, the relationship between Lucie (Lorie Pester) and Marc Véry (Guillaume Faure) had a dramatic conclusion this Friday evening in Tomorrow belongs to us.
Caught up by the police after their sneaking out of the church, and trapped on the edge of a cliff, the two criminals on the run know they can no longer get by and refuse to end their days in prison. After saying they are happy to have lived a good life together, Lucie and Marc kiss each other one last time and then throw themselves into the sea hand in hand. A fall presumably fatal and a most formidable cliffhanger which should arouse the amazement of the fans until the next episode.
But are Marc and Lucie really dead? In the episode of Tomorrow belongs to us which will be broadcast on Monday, Martin (Franck Monsigny) and Karim (Samy Gharbi) will find Véry’s lifeless body on the beach. But no sign of Lucie, except for her jacket, stretched out in the water, not far from the corpse of the ring killer.
As revealed an extract unveiled in preview by TF1, Victoire (Solène Hébert) will have a hard time accepting the news of her best friend’s suicide and will feel guilty. “What did I not understand? We do not commit suicide for love without warning signs. Why did I not see that she was hurt to this point? (…) Never could I have been able to to think that she would rather die than live without him. That’s not her. Lucie, she loved life “.
But while Georges (Mayel Elhajaoui) tries to make his partner accept the death of their friend (“You have to make up your mind, we found Lucie’s jacket at the water’s edge”), Victoire refuses to believe in Lucie’s death. “She could very well have [perdre son blouson] by jumping or swimming. I need to tell myself that she’s still alive. I am not in denial. Until we have proof I can’t believe it “.
And the young doctor’s intuition is perhaps the right one since, in a second unpublished extract from Demain belongs to us posted on MyTF1, Victoire seems more than ever convinced that Lucie is still alive. A new detail of the investigation letting her think that she returned one last time to Véry’s body in the morgue.
“I miss you. I know you’re alive, that you’re here, not far away”, admits Victoire in a message left on the answering machine of her missing best friend. “You’re going to take me for crazy, but it’s because of that ring. The one that Karim and Martin found on Marc’s hand and that he didn’t have when they took it out of the water. Say it’s you. That you went to the morgue and handed it over to her. To say goodbye to her. I thought it had to be the one you wore to church. She was so weird. I I’m sure it’s you. There is only you to do something like that. Something so romantic “.
A moving message that ends with what does indeed look like a final farewell, Victoire knowing full well that she will probably never see Lucie again: “I don’t know if you will ever get this message, but I wanted you to know that I will never forget you. And wherever you are, I hope you will be happy. Because you really deserve it.”.
So, did Lucie really survive her fall? And did Lorie Pester just make her last appearance in Tomorrow Belongs to Us? The future may tell us.
