Whenever someone discusses a treehouse with me, Pete Nelson is the first name that springs to my mind. The decorated American treehouse maker is back with another treehouse that is adjacent to the Lifted Lodge treehouse. This treehouse is located alongside other breathtaking treetop residences on an alpaca farm with awe-inspiring views of Mount Hood.
As you enter the location, the dense hillside, tall trees, suspension bridge, and treehouse would all give you an instant, relatable idea of the National Park. Both the treehouse are adjacent and are a commendation to each other. “They aren’t simply houses in trees, they are sculptures, designed by artists who understand the difference,” said Ash, one of the lead architects of Nelson Treehouse who is also involved in their new treehouse project in Oregon.
With a gorgeous suspension bridge allowing access to the treehouse, the mid-air structures are connected via a beautiful floating staircase that allows users to come down from the top treehouse to the second one. Reflecting on his thoughts about the staircase and two treehouses adjacent to each other, Ash stated, “the staircase quite literally floats through time and space, weaving you naturally from one to the next.”
While the old treehouse has got a cozy yet modern cabin vibe to it, the new one is relatively sleek and symmetrical in design. Well, shifting all our attention to the newly built treehouse, it is poised on a wooden platform high in the air. The exact height is not known, but it is expected to be around 30-feet above the ground. The treehouse features floor-to-ceiling corner windows and is wrapped by cedar shingles to resist strong winds, heavy rain, and other severe weather conditions.

There are windows symmetrical on all the walls, which gives a chic and balanced look to the structure. The exterior of the treehouse is finished in cedar wood from top to bottom, while the interior is covered with yellow cedar. The interior comes alive with skilled craftsmanship that has gone into making the treehouse. Featuring a sleeping platform inside, the latest treehouse by Nelson Treehouse is a masterpiece and with whimsical views of Mount Hood, it would allow you to form an unshakable bond with the environment.
