One of the coolest things about being an artist – or really a human – is that any day, any time, we can choose to see the world in a different way. We can look around and glimpse more than the sum of the world’s parts, and if you’ve got an artist’s eye, you can use your imagination to create something amazing.
Yahav Draizin takes inspiration from the mundane, using his cellphone to match pop culture images to the things he sees in the world around him. To accomplish his cool results, he does use two smartphones but no Photoshop or post-editing.
He says it’s “a fun way to make an ordinary situation extraordinary, to make magic by combining two different things into a whole new story.”
