It’s funny how fast things change when you’re eighteen. One minute you’re a kid living under your parents’ roof with things like chores and curfews and a few months later you’re in college, free to come and go as you please.
Along with the mistakes most of us make while we’re figuring out how to take care of ourselves, there is quite a bit of knowledge that no one thought we were ready for six months before – but that comes in handy at University.
Take a look through these 25 things and see whether or not it was true for you!
Bless his little heart.

At some point you’ll have to do it, but avoid it for as long as possible.
They come in all shapes and sizes.
99% of the time you should definitely just go.
And you’re finally allowed to just give into the need to rest.
They all have their own troubles to worry about.
Whatever you have to say, I promise they’ve heard it before.
Go ahead and embrace it.
What was a girl to do?
And you never realized how smart you are until now.
Honestly, that’s a beautiful thing.
But there are definitely assigned seats.
My apologies if it’s you, but you know…valid.
Or at least to acknowledge that you tried.
That does get better as an adult, at least.
But we’re all just playing along.
Someone should just show up with beers.
And he made it so no one can even help him.
Life is funny sometimes, isn’t it?
Honestly, they’re not bad.
God bless ’em.
And yes, your parents will find out about them.
Except for a few naps.
I definitely think we could do a better job setting teenagers up for success if we were more transparent about the truth of life after high school.
