The perfect life of Sara Beasley (left in image), mother of a family and formidable businesswoman in The Unusual Suspects, would have something to dream of more than one… if it was not a simple facade. Behind the image of an accomplished woman that she makes shine on social networks, Sara relies above all on her nanny Evie to take care of her three children and manage her household.

More interested in her professional career and appearances than in her offspring, she nevertheless hides a heavy secret which will force her to ally with her employee …

The bossy and superficial businesswoman is played by Australian actress Miranda Otto, unforgettable Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings saga, also appeared in War of the Worlds and The Red Line among others.

Behind Sara Beasley’s supposedly perfect daily life hides her nanny Evie, a caring and sensitive woman from the Philippines. What her boss doesn’t know is that the model employee was forced to leave her own daughter behind and regularly sends money to her abusive husband. Filled with regret, Evie dreams of a better life for herself and her child.

Aina Dumlao lends her features to this touching mother, immigrated to Australia to take care of the children of another in order to support her own. Before joining The Unusual Suspects, the Filipino-American actress appeared in the MacGyver and Ballers series.

Roxanne Waters (Michelle Vergara Moore)

Also from the Philippines, Roxanne Waters is a successful businesswoman who runs a luxury beauty center. Unlike Sara Beasley, she has a very good relationship with her housekeeper Amy, whom she even considers a friend. While everything seems to smile on this mother of twins, her husband Jordan is arrested for fraud… just after giving her an extremely precious necklace!

Roxanne Waters is played by actress Michelle Vergara Moore, whom some may recognize thanks to her roles in the Condor series and more recently La Brea, currently being broadcast across the Atlantic.

Amy (Lena Cruz)

Friend and confidante of Evie, Amy is the household employee of Roxanne Waters, with whom she gets along very well thanks to their common origins in particular. Loyal to her boss, she is ready to follow and support her in any situation. Despite the difficulties she faces as an immigrant woman, Amy never gives up. It is played by actress Lena Cruz.

Gigi (Susana Downes)

Newly arrived from the Philippines, Gigi is a new employee supposed to work for Roxanne as a cleaning lady. From day one, she stood out for her inappropriate behavior when trying on her boss’s clothes and jewelry. Gigi’s real dream? Become a life coach. This is also how she introduces herself to the neighbor Birdie, with whom she quickly sympathizes.

This extravagant young woman, who is especially interested in her image on social networks, is embodied by Susana Downes.

By chance, she allies with Sara, Evie, Roxanne and Amy in the realization of their totally crazy plan!

Australian actress Heather Mitchell (Masters of Spells) plays Birdie.
