The Morning Show season 2 trailer: Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon still at war in the Apple TV + series

The Morning Show season 2 trailer: War is (again) declared between Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. The two stars are back in season 2 of The Morning Show scheduled for September 17 on Apple TV +.

Season 2 of The Morning Show is revealed a little more in a new trailer. As a reminder, the first season featured the upheavals of a famous morning show after the revelation of the inappropriate behavior of its star host, Mitch, played by Steve Carell. But above all, the clash between two strong heads and two television beasts: Alex, played by Jennifer Aniston and Bradley by Reese Witherspoon.

The plot resumes after the explosive events of season 1 which ended with a great television moment – reminiscent of the movie Network – where Alex admitted to having intentionally ignored Mitch’s inappropriate conduct.

In the trailer, UBA Big Boss Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup) goes to Alex’s place to try to get her back. “You are the only thing that can save usHe says amused by her melodramatic turn. It’s the starting point for new machinations, the return of Alex threatening Bradley’s rise.

I have the impression that they bring my big sister back to clean up my mess.Bradley sighs in a tasty reference to Friends where Reese Witherspoon played Rachel’s little sister Jill for two episodes.

News and new faces

As the trailer progresses, there are other references to the news. There is of course a question of COVID-19 and a subplot concerning racism will likely also be developed. In order not to disorient the spectators, Bradley and Alex do not seem to have laid down their arms. And Cory screams a lot.

We also discover a little more the new characters of the season, Greta Lee, who plays, according to Apple, “Stella Bak, a tech prodigy who has joined the management of UBA“and Julianna Margulies as Laura Peterson, a TV presenter.

Other new cast members include Ruairi O’Connor (“Ty Fitzgerald, a smart and charismatic YouTube star“), Holland Taylor (“Cybil Richards, the insightful chair of the UBA board“) or the Italian actress Valeria Golino (“Paola Lambruschini, a documentary filmmaker“).

In short, a season that promises to be eventful
