Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru hits theaters this Wednesday. The sequel to the film derived from the “Me, ugly and mean” franchise is to be seen with the family from 6 years old.

Once upon a time :
With the 70s in full swing, Gru sets up a machiavellian plan to succeed in integrating a famous group of super villains, known as the Vicious 6. He is assisted in his task by the Minions, his little turbulent companions than faithful.
When the Vicious 6 fire their leader, the legendary Will Karnage, Gru auditions to join the team. The least we can say is that the interview goes wrong, and suddenly short when Gru demonstrates his superiority to them and suddenly finds himself their sworn enemy.
Forced to flee, he will have no other choice but to turn to Will Karnage himself, in order to find a solution, a meeting which will allow him to discover that even super villains sometimes need friends.
THE FRENCH VOICES OF THE MINIONS 2
Gad Elmaleh resumes service and lends his voice to Gru for the fifth time after the 3 films of the saga Me, ugly and mean and the spin-off devoted to minions, in which young Gru appeared at the end. In The Minions 2, which takes place in 1976, he voices Gru at the age of 12.
Claudia Tagbo here lends her voice to Belle Bombe, member of the Vicious 6 while Gerard Darmon double Will Karnage, the ex-leader of the group of villains who will finally ally himself with Gru.

• What they will love : Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru will delight fans of the franchise and the little yellow beings. The film is full of references to the pop culture of the 70’s (the credits with James Bond sauce, the Jaws session, disco, kung-fu…) and the gags follow one another at a furious pace .
Kidnapped by Will Karnage, Gru will be helped by his friends Minions, Bob, Kevin, Stuart and Otto who will learn Kung-Fu to be able to defeat the terrible Vicious 6. An intensive training that gives rise to hilarious scenes that will delight young people spectators.
Colorful and rhythmic, the feature film shows us Gru’s childhood, his life as a pre-adolescent, his bedroom, his mother, the creation of his villainous basement… So many elements that allow us to make the link between all the films of the saga.

• What may worry them: At the start of the film, The Vicous 6 betray and get rid of their leader Will Karnage. A scene that can worry the youngest because we can think that the latter is dead.
Afterwards, while they are looking for a new member, theThe Vicious 6 reject Gru because he is only a child and pursue him when they realize that he has stolen their precious treasure. They do not hesitate to destroy his house.

Finally, Will Karnage asks his henchmen to kidnap the young boy. The latter kidnap Gru in the middle of the night and lock him in their van.
Scenes that may scare little viewers but are quickly toned down by comedy.
• What they will keep inside them: A good moment of fun! At the end of the film, the children will especially remember the many gags of the Minions, their self-sacrifice and their unconditional love for their mini-boss.
For his part, Gru understands that these naive and somewhat cumbersome creatures are there for him and that friendship is important even when you’re mean.
