Fed up with TV series and auteur cinema, Emilie Semiramoth also does not hide her penchant for pop culture in all its eccentricities. From the bromance between Spock and Captain Kirk in Star Trek to the disillusionment of Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, she ignores gender boundaries.

The unmissable Jean-Claude Van Damme, aka JCVD, is back in The Last Mercenary, an action comedy expected this summer on Netflix. The first trailer reveals a wig festival. Yes, wigs.

Jean-Claude Van Damme has this ineffable quality of always knowing how to surprise us. Here he is back with The Last Mercenary, an action comedy by David Charhon (The other side of the ring-road’) in which the actor seems to have had a lot of fun.

In this trailer, JCVD has, a priori, lost none of its flexibility. All in muscles, the Belgian actor of 60 years connects the kicks and the donuts as in the good old days. We are even entitled to his famous split that he performs this time in an even more complicated position, like a bat.

He plays there a former and mysterious secret service agent who has returned to France to save his son, whom he has never met. The son in question, played by Samir Decazza, is the victim of a heinous stunt by an international terrorist organization.

On the program: fights, stunts galore, humor and wigs. And around the star, a surprising cast made up of Patrick Timsit, Miou-Miou, Eric Judor, Alban Ivanov, Assa Sylla or even Valérie Kaprisky. The film will be available from July 30 on Netflix.
