On the occasion of Pride Month, Showtime unveils the first images of season 2 of The L Word: Generation Q. The revival of The L Word, the first series focused on lesbians, promises some twists and turns.
Showtime has released a first teaser for the upcoming second season of The L Word: Generation Q, which will return on Friday August 6 on Showtime and in stride on Canal + Séries. – no specific date yet – with its “On time US” program. The video gives us a taste of what to expect in the new season and what follows the cliffhanger that concludes season 1.
As a reminder, at the end of the first season, Bette Porter lost the Los Angeles municipal elections where she aimed for the mayor’s chair. Sophie (Rosanny Zayas) cheated on Dani (Arienne Mandi) with Finley (Jacqueline Finley), who is heading to the airport in the last scene … but for what destination? The video also hints at a possible new relationship for Bette.
Set more than 10 years after the events of The L Word, this new version features the return of the stars of the original series Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey who are reprising their roles as Bette, Shane and Alice respectively. Joining them is a new generation of proud and fulfilled LGBTQIA characters who experience love, grief, encounters, setbacks and success in Los Angeles.
This season 2 welcomes in recurring roles Rosie O’Donnell (SMILF), alongside Donald Faison (Scrubs), Griffin Dunne (This is Us) and Vanessa Williams (The Flash).
