Summer promises to be rock’n’roll on Disney+: this July, don’t miss the Sex Pistols mini-series, Andrew Garfield in a poignant drama, The Lion King live-action version and many other highly anticipated new features!

THE UNAVOIDABLE

Pistol – Wednesday, July 6

In 3 years of career, they have revolutionized the world of music… With his mini-series Pistolscreenwriter Craig Pearce (Elvis) takes us back to the beginnings of the punk movement. From July 6, discover the history of the Sex Pistols, as told by the guitarist and founding member of the legendary group, Steve Jonesin his memoirs entitled Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol !

The 4 original members of the group, Steve Jones, Paul Cook, John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) and Glen Matlock, are respectively portrayed on screen by Toby Wallace (Milla), Jacob Slater, Anson Boon and Christian Lees. Sid Vicious, who joins them following the departure of their bassist, is embodied by Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes). Also note the presence in the casting of Maisie Williams, Thomas Brodie Sangster and Talulah Riley.

To stage this musical revolution, we find the director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) behind the camera. The 6 episodes of Pistol will be available exclusively and in full on July 6 on Disney+.
