After a 2020 edition canceled due to the health crisis, the Fête du Cinéma is making a comeback this year from June 30 to July 4!
Good news for spectators! After the announcement of the reopening of theaters for May 19, the FNCF (National Federation of French Cinemas) has confirmed that the 2021 Film Festival will take place!
Last year, the event had to be canceled due to the health crisis and the proximity to the reopening date, which was set for June 22. As a reminder, lhe 2019 edition achieved its best result for 6 years with 3.4 million spectators.
Reopening of cinemas: which films to see in theaters on May 19?
The cinema celebration will take place from Wednesday June 30 to Sunday July 4, 2021. It will therefore last five days, compared to the usual four. If it begins on a Wednesday instead of a Sunday, it is to align with the fourth stage of the deconfinement calendar (full capacity of the gauge and end of the curfew).
During these 5 days, each screening will be accessible – in participating cinemas, or traditionally almost the entire French park – at the single price of € 4.
Long live the cinema!
