After Cherry, the Russo Brothers’ movie in which he played a drug addict suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, Tom Holland is staying with Apple TV + for his next project. ComingSoon reveals that the actor will play the main role of The Crowded Room, an anthology created and written by Akiva Goldsman (An exceptional man).
The actor will play Billy Milligan, a man with dissociative identity disorder. The latter had been found not responsible for his acts after the rape of three people in the 70s. A first in the history of American justice.
It was he who inspired the character of James McAvoy in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split. Anthology requires, the cast will change each season. The Crowded Room will focus more generally on those who have been successful in living with this mental illness.
Season 1 and its ten episodes will therefore be centered on the character played by Tom Holland and will be inspired by the book The Thousand and One Lives by Billy Milligan written by psychology researcher Daniel Keyes.
