Also, there were very few Covid cases in Australia at the time. Later when the lockdown was lifted there, a team was sent to Bali for the missing plans.

Did you know ? Marie-José Tubiana first visited Darfur in 1965. She recalls: “At first, I wanted to come back to Chad, but the president of Chad at the time, Tombalbaye, found that I should not work on the people of the North, but that I should work on its population.”
“I told him that we weren’t changing the course of action like that. So I refused. We didn’t have the visa and we couldn’t leave. So we left for Darfur a few months later, very easily.”
