The Brothers Scott – is a series that marked a whole generation. On the occasion of the launch of the series on Salto today, a brief overview of what has become of the actors since its stop.
Launched in 2003 on WB, Les Frères Scott very quickly marked a whole generation of aficionados of series for teenagers. For 9 seasons, we followed the love and friendship stories of Brooke, Peyton, Haley, Lucas and Nathan in the small town of One Tree Hill.
On the occasion of the launch of the entire series on Salto, discover what has become of the actors almost 10 years after the end of the series.
Chad Michael Murray – Lucas Scott
After leaving The Brothers Scott in 2009, at the end of season 6, Chad Michael Murray, who camped Lucas Scott, continued his little way on television. Seen in two episodes of Southland in 2013, he then landed a role in Chosen before joining the regular cast of Agent Carter in 2015. In 2019, he made a notable appearance in season 3 of Riverdale as Edgar. Evernever, a cult guru.
James Lafferty – Nathan Scott
Since the end of the Brothers Scott in 2012, James Lafferty has never really managed to get his career off the ground. On the film side, we could simply see him in a secondary role in the film The Mirror, with Karen Gillan. On TV, he starred in Crisis, canceled after one season in 2014, and in season 1 of Underground. In 2018 he got a small role in The Haunting of Hill House, before joining the cast of The Stuff of Heroes, in which he played one of the Mercury Seven. In 2021, he reunited with Stephen Colletti, who was camping Chase, in Everyone Is Doing Great, a sitcom about two former stars of a successful teen series trying to regain their former glory.
Sophia Bush – Brooke Davis
Once the The Brothers Scott adventure ended, Sophia Bush, the interpreter of Brooke Davis, did not take long to bounce back as she landed in the fall of 2012 a regular role in the comedy Partners on CBS. The series was however canceled after 13 episodes, due to lack of audience, and it was not until 2014 that the actress really found success thanks to the Chicago Police Department. She left the series in 2017, after 4 seasons and then went on to appear in Jane The Virgin and This is us before obtaining a recurring role in Love, Victor, a derivative series on the film Love, Simon. In 2022, she will be the main character of Good Sam, CBS’s new medical series.
Bethany Joy Lenz – Haley James Scott
In 2013, a year after the end of The Brothers Scott, Bethany Joy Lenz returned to the small screen thanks to the recurring role of Cassie Jollenston in the eighth and final season of Dexter. After appearing in 2016 in 2 episodes of season 3 of Agents of Shield, we find her in early 2017 in season 2 of Colony. Between two Christmas TV movies, she gets a role in Pearson which will unfortunately be canceled after one season.
Hilarie Burton – Peyton Sawyer
Like Chad Michael Murray, Hilarie Burton left The Brothers Scott in 2009, at the end of season 6. A year later, she joined FBI: Very Special Duo in the role of Sara Ellis and participated in seasons 2 to 4 of the series . She then appears in the last three episodes of season 9 of Grey’s Anatomy and in Forever, before giving the reply to her companion in the city Jeffrey Dean Morgan in 2015 in season 2 of Extant. In 2021, she finds her husband once again in season 10 of The Walking Dead in which she camps… the wife of Negan.
Austin Nichols – Julian Baker
When The Brothers Scott adventure is over, Austin Nichols, featured in seasons 6 to 9, appears on the big screen in Parkland and on TV in Ray Donovan, as Tommy Wheeler. In 2015 he joined The Walking Dead, during season 5, in the guise of Spencer Monroe, before camping Sam Loomis, the lover of Marion Crane (Rihanna) in the fifth and final season of Bates Motel. In 2021, he starred in Walker, a reboot of the cult 90s series alongside Jared Padalecki.
Shantel VanSanten – Quinn James
Present in seasons 7 to 9 of the Brothers Scott, in the role of Quinn, Haley’s sister, Shantel VanSanten successively landed, in 2014 and 2015, a regular role in the series Gang Related and The Messengers. Bad luck, the two dramas are canceled after only 13 episodes. The actress then joined season 2 of Flash before camping for 2 years Julie Swagger, wife of sniper Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe), in the series Shooter. In 2019, she was chosen to star in Prime Video’s event series The Boys as the late Becca Butcher. That same year, she was also featured in the Apple For All Mankind series.
Robert Buckley – Clay Evans
A few months after the end of The Scott Brothers on The CW, Clay’s singer Robert Buckley landed a regular role in ABC’s new fantasy drama 666 Park Avenue, but the series was canceled after 13 episodes. He then appeared as a guest in Hart of Dixie before regaining relative success thanks to iZombie in 2015, in which he played Major Lilywhite, the ex-fiancé of Liv (Rose McIver). Since the end of the series in 2019, he has made a few appearances in TV movies.
Jana Kramer – Alex Dupre
Jana Kramer, who appears in the credits of seasons 7 to 9 of the series, in the role of Alex, has been rather discreet on the comedy side since 2012 since she has only played in a few fairly confidential films and TV films. But she embarked on a career as a singer and was talked about in 2016 for her participation as a contestant for season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, the American version of Dance with the stars.
Paul Johansson – Dan Scott
After the end of the series in 2012, Paul Johansson, the interpreter of the Machiavellian Dan Scott, appears in CSI, in Beauty and the Beast, and in season 7 of Mad Men. At the start of the 2016 school year, he joined the cast of the Syfy Van Helsing series, in the recurring role of Dimitri. Since its cancellation, it has made an appearance in Season 17 of NCIS.
Stephen Colletti – Chase Adams
Revealed in 2004 by the reality TV show Laguna Beach, Stephen Colletti, the interpreter of the “clean teen” Chase Adams in The Brothers Scott, has not had a full career since the end of the series in 2012 Besides some TV movies, he just appeared in 6 episodes of Hit the Floor, broadcast on VH1. In 2021, he obtains the main role in Everyone Is Doing Great alongside James Lafferty.
Lee Norris – Marvin “Micro” McFadden
Not much to report for Lee Norris, the interpreter of Micro, since the end of the Brothers Scott. He simply had a small role in Gone Girl in 2014 and appeared in 5 episodes of the Disney Channel series Finding Riley, in which he reunited with his character of Stuart Minkus, which he held in The Incorrigible Cory in 1993. In 2017, he made an appearance in two episodes of The Walking Dead.
Antwon Tanner – Antwon “Skills” Taylor
Like Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, who camped Skills for 9 seasons, has been content with small roles in TV movies and series since the end of The Brothers Scott. We have seen him in Black Jesus on Adult Swim, and seen him in episodes of Rizzoli & Isles, Rosewood, and the Carmichael Show.
Tyler Hilton – Chris Keller
Notably present in seasons 2 and 9 of The Brothers Scott, in the prominent role of arrogant Chris Keller, singer and actor Tyler Hilton continued to pursue a career on both fronts after the end of the series. In addition to the release of several albums, we could see him in 2014 and 2015 in Extant, opposite Halle Berry, and in 2016 in 2 episodes of the first season of Pitch. In 2018, he reunited with his playing partners in the TV movie The Christmas Proposal.
