The 25th edition of the Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival will be held from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 January 2022. And to celebrate its quarter of a century, the festival will last one more day: it will therefore begin on Monday instead. Tuesday. This is what the organizers of the event announced last night.
Forced to cancel the 2021 edition because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizers quickly positioned themselves for 2022 in order to give spectators a “positive outlook”. The anniversary edition will therefore take place in Isère for 7 days.
As a reminder, the 18 films selected for the 2021 edition will be accompanied by the “Official Selection Label – Festival de l’Alpe d’Huez 2021” when they are released, like the Festival de Cannes 2020.
It was Michael Youn’s comedy, Divorce Club, which won the Grand Prize in the 2020 edition.
