In the feature film Spider-Man: Homecoming, available on the Netflix platform, actor Michael Keaton, years after Batman, finds the superheroic world by slipping into the costume of the terrible Vulture. A role of villain that would have loved to play … an actor in the Star Wars saga!
In one interview with Rotten Tomatoes in 2017 at the Disney Studios D23 Convention, Mark Hamill, the famous Luke Skywalker of the Star Wars saga, indeed revealed that he would have been more than delighted to play the bad-guy of this reboot of the adventures of the ‘Spider Man. “I don’t want to compromise the potential roles I could get in a future Marvel movie, but I had hoped very much that Michael Keaton would turn down the role of the Vulture”, declared the American actor. “There aren’t a lot of senior villain roles, so I had my sights set on the character.”
If the project had materialized, Mark Hamill would have played a new illustrious villain on the screen. Since the Batman animated series of 1992, the actor has indeed lent his voice to the character of the Joker, the iconic bad-guy of the DC team, on numerous occasions.
