5 years after leaving Grey’s Anatomy, Sara Ramirez, who played Callie Torres, finds a major role in And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and The City.
While Kim Cattrall refused to participate in the sequel to the cult series Sex and the City, titled for its return And Just Like That, it is another known face of the small screen who will complete the band composed of Carrie, Miranda. and Charlotte.
Sara Ramirez, well known for having played for 12 seasons Callie Torres in Grey’s Anatomy then a political strategist in Madam Secretary, will play Che Diaz, a character who defines herself as non-binary. Che Diaz – non-binary, queer comedian – hosts a podcast on which Carrie is a regular guest. The statement describes Che as a person with an imposing presence and a big heart. Her willingly scandalous sense of humor and her progressive, humanistic outlook on gender issues have greatly contributed to her popularity, as well as that of her podcast.
In this new salvo of ten episodes, we will find the best friends Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) whose unwavering friendship continues as they each enter their fifties.
“The whole team of And Just Like That… is more than delighted that such a talented and dynamic actor as Sara Ramírez has joined the family of Sex and the City. Sara is a one of a kind talent, equally at home with comedy and drama – and we are excited and inspired to create this new character for the series.“said Michael Patrick King, executive producer of the series.
