We discovered Sabel at a pop-up in Clapton in 2015 and were very impressed with the food. We haven’t been able to get to their events since, but we’re very happy to see that they have launched a Sabel home delivery service for the summer.

Sabel at Home: On Tour will tackle the cuisine of a different country every two weeks, virtually touring Europe to bring you the dishes you miss on your vacation. They started things with France, before moving on to Spain, and then Greece and Italy.

We tried the Spanish menu and it was really good. There was gazpacho, a squid ink noodle “paella”, a nice slice of pork belly with mojo verde, “coca” (a Spanish pizza) and a Pedro Ximenez creme caramel. There is a small amount to do to finish the dishes at home, but nothing too strenuous and the results are superb.

The boxes for France and Spain are sadly sold out now, but keep an eye on their website for Greece and Italy as they are worth a visit.
