In addition to a spinoff series project of “Rocky”, Sylvester Stallone is active behind the scenes on a Director’s Cut of “Rocky IV”. He is currently putting the finishing touches on this project, teased for a few months …

The cult saga which has just landed in full on Amazon will soon experience a “facelift”, at least for one of its episodes!

Rocky IV is currently back on Sylvester Stallone’s editing table. Sly is preparing a Director’s Cut on which he has been working for several months and which he has already had the opportunity to tease several times.

Check out some behind-the-scenes footage recently shared by Sylvester Stallone on his Instagram account :

Among the elements that could change in the film, it is about the robot, which should disappear … We should also see a new montage of the fight between Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers).

The release date of this montage is not yet known, but it seems imminent. It should more or less correspond to the 35th anniversary of the film’s release.

For the record, the pitch of Rocky IV: Apollo Creed, former opponent and now friend of Rocky Balboa, is killed in the ring by the Russian boxer Ivan Drago. Blaming himself for not having been able to save his comrade in time, Rocky will ask for a fight against Ivan Drago in order to avenge him. A confrontation that will take place on Russian soil.
