Discover the first images of Rifkin’s Festival, Woody Allen’s new feature film shot in Spain.
Return to Europe for Woody Allen! If the filmmaker’s last films took place in his favorite city, New York, his fiftieth production takes place at the San Sebastián Festival in Spain. A country in which he had already put his cameras in 2008 for Vicky Cristina Barcelona before venturing to Paris and Rome.
Entitled Rifkin’s Festival, this new feature film follows the amorous tribulations of Mort Rifkin, played by Wallace Shawn. He accompanies his wife, played by Gina Gershon, to the San Sebastián Festival where she works as a press officer.
He then discovers that the latter has an affair with a famous director played by Louis Garrel, which pushes him to question himself. From his shrink’s office to the office of a doctor (Elena Anaya) with whom he falls under the spell, Mort experiences a real identity crisis.
Also with Sergi López and Christoph Waltz in the cast, Rifkin’s Festival seems to be part of the tradition of Woody Allen films. To get to the bottom of it, go to cinemas on September 29th.
