While a new live-action movie without Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, is long overdue, Netflix and Capcom unveil a trailer featuring the characters of its animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, scheduled for July 2021. Images show Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield reunited at the White House before a horde of zombies entered the building.
It’s the Japanese Eiichiro Hasumi who is in charge of the series, the number of episodes of which is still unknown. “Even though this is an animated entirely in CGI, I made sure to adjust the work of the camera and the light to get as close as possible to a live shoot with a sense of realism, he explains in a press release. I hope fans and newbies alike will like the series.“The release ofInfinite Darkness will coincide with the 25 years of the Resident Evil franchise, launched on PlayStration in 1996. On the reboot side, no release date has yet been communicated.
