Reims Polar Awards: Tehran Law and Black Box rewarded – cinema news

After 25 years in Cognac and 12 years in Beaune, the 2021 Thriller Film Festival was taking place online for the first time, while waiting to settle in Reims, the new host city of this Festival, next year. Discover the prize list.

The 38th edition of the Detective Film Festival has just ended, after 4 days of competition, with 21 films in the running (including 6 out of competition). The jury, chaired by actor Jacques Weber, awarded its Grand Prize to The Law of Tehran by Saeed Roustaee. This film is doubly rewarded since the jury of the press also distinguished it.

Jacques Weber’s jury also awarded a prize to Abbas Amini’s The Slaughterhouse, which precisely receives the Jury Prize. Black box with Pierre Niney won the Audience Award.

The next edition of the Detective Film Festival, renamed Reims Polar, will now be held in the city of Reims, from 2022.
