The Pretty Little Liars reboot, commissioned by HBO Max, is starting to take shape. Two actresses have just been cast for the main roles.

It’s been nine months since the HBO Max platform formalized its order for the reboot of the teen series that has become cult pretty Little Liars. Entitled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa – the daddy of Riverdale and the New Adventures of Sabrina – the series has finally found its first lead actresses.
Based on Sara Shepard’s best-selling books, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will focus on a new story and new characters. HBO Max has announced that Chandler Kinney (seen in Zombies 2) and Maia Reficco (heroine of Kally’s Mashup) have been chosen for the main roles of Tabby and Noa.
Tabby is described as a young aspiring director, passionate about horror films who, like the others, hides a secret. As for Noa, he’s a rising star in athletics, known for his cynicism. She struggles to find a normal life after a summer in juvenile detention.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is billed as a darker, more current iteration of the popular 2010-17 series, as the official synopsis suggests:
“Twenty years ago a series of tragic events nearly tore the working-class town of Millwood apart. Today, a disparate group of teenage girls – a whole new group of Little Liars – find themselves harassed by an unknown and forced assailant. to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago … but also theirs. “
This dark, horror-tinged drama will take place miles from Rosewood, but in a new town that belongs to the same universe as Pretty Little Liars.
