OutplayVOD: launch of the first French platform dedicated to LGBTQ + cinema – Actus Ciné

Distributors are increasingly interested in VOD as a complement to their theatrical releases. The current crisis has accelerated the process. Today, it is Outplay Films, an editor specializing in LGBTQ + cinema, which launches its VOD platform.

OUTPLAY FILMS

The distribution company, created in 2008 and specializing in LGBTQ + thematic cinema, Outplay Films, launches its on-demand movies platform: OutplayVOD. Since its inception, the company’s editorial line has been to promote current LGBTQ + international cinema. The OutplayVOD platform includes around 150 titles from the catalog (Weekend by Andrew Haigh, the Swedish mini-series Snö by Simon Kaijser, the cult Go Fish by Rose Troche or The Celluloid Closet by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman) which are thus available for rental or purchase from your home.

In addition, the platform is expanding its range of films by offering relevant titles from other beneficiaries and distributors following agreements with the aggregators My Digital Company and Universciné. Ultimately, OutplayVOD therefore aims to be the first French VOD platform bringing together the largest offer of LGBTQ + feature films, documentaries and short films.
