The National Federation of French Cinemas (FNCF) and The Boxoffice Company (Webedia), Publisher of the site AlloCiné, have joined forces to produce and promote a series of 2-minute video vignettes as part of the campaign #OnIraAllAuCinema. Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano, a duo of iconic directors of French cinema, are playing the very first episode released on April 17.
In these sequences shot in a situation of confinement, French and international talents will celebrate the unique experience of the cinema hall by sharing their memories, their favorites and their desire to find their way back to the dark theaters, as soon as the sanitary conditions and government directives will make it possible.
The FNCF invites all cinemas and, beyond, all actors in the cinema industry, to also relay these videos on all of their web, mobile and social channels. “We want to provide cinemas with content that allows them to maintain the link with their spectators until the reopening. In addition, we are proud to bring together on such a project the artistic community of the cinema to demonstrate its attachment to the experience cinema in theaters “, says Richard Patry, President of the FNCF.
AlloCiné, the leading digital media on cinema in France with 14 million unique visitors each month *, will produce these videos with the FNCF and will relay this operation as well as #OnIraTousAuCinema on all of its web, mobile and social platforms up to the reopening of the rooms.
“Our teams are very happy to partner with the FNCF for this great project in the service of which we mobilize our creative and media talents as well as our experts specializing in digital marketing solutions for operators and distributors”, says Julien Marcel, managing director of The Boxoffice Company (Webedia). “With the entire cinema industry, we want to express our gratitude to these many talents who give a new dimension to our original motto: do not remain a mere spectator!”
