THE FILM OF THE DAY

In 1990, Julia Roberts reached the rank of star thanks to the main role of Pretty Woman, a romantic comedy which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. A few years later, the actress returned to her favorite genre by playing on her status in Love at first sight in Notting Hill. Indeed, she plays Anna Scott, a movie star who falls under the spell of a London bookseller played by Hugh Grant. Written by romanticism specialist Richard Curtis, the film quickly became cult thanks to its duet of actors, its touching supporting roles and its very British humor.
