Stéphane (Vincent Elbaz) decides to move to the beautiful Cantal mountains in order to reconnect with his 8-year-old daughter, Victoria, who has been silent since her mother’s disappearance. During a walk in the forest, a shepherd gives Victoria a puppy named Mystery who will little by little give her back a taste for life. But very quickly, Stéphane discovers that the animal is in reality a wolf… This is the synopsis of the new feature film by Denis Imbert (Vicky), who set down while filming his camera in Cantal. A film full of emotion and adapted from an incredible true story that tells us about family and mourning.
It is first of all the beauty of the landscapes that challenges us in the trailer, then this little ball of fur that we see growing before our eyes. If the breeders and the shepherds took a dim view of the presence of a wolf on the set (attacks are frequent in Cantal), the director gave their region a nice spotlight.
Mystère is in any case a feature film that will appeal to fans of the genre (Belle et Sebastien, Croc Blanc, the films of Nicolas Vanier …) since they will find the same story of man-animal friendship, an ode to nature and a touch of emotion.
We find in the cast Eric Elmosnino, Marie Gillain and Tcheky Karyo. Cinema release on December 16.
