myCanal: 5 series that make you want to sing and dance – News TV Series

Need to comfort yourself with series that make you want to sing and dance? There is always time to (re) dive into “Ally McBeal” and (re) discover “Flight of the Conchords” or the little new “Dave”.

Flight of the Conchords (2007)

A little-known UFO, Flight of the Conchords is a quirky comedy by and with Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, who lend their features to musicians who land in New York in the hope of succeeding in the profession. The two atypical artists, from New Zealand, follow the most hilarious songs devoted to the most improbable subjects. Delirium in its purest form, and it feels good!

Dave (2020)

The latest addition to the selection, Dave is a creaky comedy about a young white man, completely neurotic, convinced that he is destined to become a rap star. The artist, who really officiates as a rapper-humorist under the pseudonym of Lil dicky, do not hesitate here to self-parody. Good times in perspective with a delightful soundtrack. Dave even allows himself to make, from the first episode, a reference to the very special peculiarity of his most intimate anatomy.

Ally McBeal (1997)

The first five seasons of the series that made Calista Flockhart popular are available on myChannel via Fox Play. Enough to have a good time with Ally McBeal, the 30-year-old lawyer with an overflowing imagination. Touching and rich in emotions, the series alternates between visual gags, funny situations, frenzied choreography and an unforgettable soundtrack worn by Vanda Shepard, Barry White, Macy Gray, Elton John or Mariah Carey.

Fosse / Verdon (2019)

Centered on the couple formed by choreographer-director Bob Fosse and dancer-actress Gwen Verdon, this biopic entitled Fosse / Verdon traces their incredible journey from Broadway to Hollywood, and the passion that animated them during the 1960s to 80s. careful reconstruction of the era immerses us in the magic of music and invites us to sketch a few dance steps. As a bonus, the return of Michelle Williams on the small screen!

Empire (2015)

Soap on an African-American family that has established itself in hip-hop, Empire is a series (produced by Timbaland) kitsch at will in which the members of the Lyon family tear each other apart … in search of success, of affection and recognition! The succession assured by Jamal and Hakeem, the worthy heirs of this tormented dynasty, ensures some good musical moments, shared from time to time with distinguished guests such as Mary J. Blige, Courtney Love or Cuba Gooding Jr.
