6 years after “Lolo”, Julie Delpy unveils “My Zoe”, her 7th feature film. After the comedy, the actress, screenwriter and director plunges us into the heart of the family drama, against a backdrop of divorce and the battle to obtain custody of the couple’s child.
New registry change for Julie Delpy. After having chained several comedies as director, screenwriter and actress (Lolo, 2 Days in New York, The Skylab …), Julie Delpy returns with the family drama My Zoe.
The plot focuses on Isabelle, a geneticist who tries to get her life back in hand after her divorce. She falls in love and decides to relaunch her career. But her ex-husband, James has a hard time accepting her and makes her life difficult in the battle he is waging for custody of their daughter Zoe.
A tragedy strikes them and the family is shattered. Isabelle then decides to take fate in hand.
For this new feature film shot in English, Julie Delpy has surrounded herself, in the casting, with Richard Armitage, Daniel Brühl and Gemma Arterton.
Prior to its theatrical release in France on June 30, 2021, My Zoe was presented at several international festivals including Toronto and Tribeca.
