Theo makes a big decision
Franck visits Théo to inform him that he will be exonerated and that his mother will be released. Although he feels better thanks to appropriate treatment, Théo is still in mourning for Coralie. He is unable to answer Franck when the latter offers him to come back to live with his mother and him.
While Revel congratulates his teams for completing the investigation into Coralie’s murder, Franck finds Céline, Blanche and Noé at the Marci. Together they celebrate their victory. Behind the counter, Fanny overhears their conversation. Disgusted, she decides to take her day off. At the roommate, she confides in Romain before declining his proposal to go out to clear her mind.
Later, Franck is waiting for Delphine when she gets out of prison. They plan to live under the same roof again with Théo. Franck also assures his companion that he is ready to help her take care of her son despite his bipolarity.
But when Delphine goes to pick up her son, he decides to stay in a psychiatric hospital to continue to be treated. He does not yet feel ready to face the outside world without Coralie. Moved, Delphine supports her decision.
Gabriel discovers the reality on the ground
Upon receiving his schedule for the day, Gabriel judges Cédric incompetent and lazy. He calls her to report errors in the timetable and realizes that they are not errors. Indeed, their day is so intense that they will have to do without a lunch break.
Later, Gabriel takes it upon himself when faced with a patient he has to transfer to the hospital and who takes her time telling him all her problems. Gabriel then notices that his symptoms are due to a drug interaction. He advises her to change her treatment to get better. At the hospital, he was nevertheless called to order by the patient’s doctor, who suggested that he stay in his place as a stretcher-bearer.
At the end of the day, Gabriel relaxes over a drink with Thomas and Céline. She announces that he is going to have to continue his internship, but that his efforts are starting to pay off since he soon has an appointment with Jeanne and one of the doctors on the bar association council.
Ariane is confronted with her trauma
At the police station, Revel appoints Jean-Paul as a replacement for Cissé, who has been transferred to Paris. Despite her disappointment, Ariane is not resentful towards her ex.
While the latter is absent, Ariane meets Lombard, the lieutenant of the Cannes police station, who expressly wishes to speak with Jean-Paul. Having taken the fly, Ariane does not hesitate to embed herself in their discussion. She then discovers that the Cannes police have found a young man dead in the abandoned premises of a cemetery. If Lombard finds similarities with Jacob’s modus operandi, Jean-Paul thinks on the contrary that it is a copycat. Disturbed, Ariane pretends she doesn’t remember anything.
Later, Ariane gleans information from Jean-Paul. The latter agreed with Lombard to send someone on site to study the differences with Jacob’s modus operandi. While Jean-Paul intends to send Éric, Ariane convinces him to send her unofficially.
Ariane then goes to the shooting range to regain control of her emotions. But she is overtaken by her trauma, remembering having been tied up and walled in by Jacob. Unable to shoot, Ariane bursts into tears…
