Originally planned for last year and postponed due to the health crisis, the 60th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival will be held this year from June 18 to 22 and will once again welcome beautiful people to celebrate as it happens. owes this exceptional anniversary.
Series fans who will make the trip to Monaco will have the pleasure of meeting, among others, Audrey Fleurot, crowned with the phenomenal success of HPI on TF1, Jaime Lorente (La Casa de Papel, Elite), which will present season 2 of the Amazon El Cid series, Guillaume Labbé, essential in 2021 with I promise you and The School of Life, Gil Alma, the star of César Wagner, Anny duperey, which we will soon find in season 2 of La Faute à Rousseau, or even Samuel Le Bihan, whose Alex Hugo series will return soon for a new round of episodes.
But also the stars of Cassandre and Section de Recherches, and part of the actors of Tomorrow belongs to us, Here everything begins, and Plus belle la vie. Whose Ingrid Chauvin, Alexandre Brasseur, Clement Remiens, Aurelie Pons, Catherine Marchal, Laurent Kerusore, and Elodie Varlet.
Because of the health situation linked to the Covid epidemic, this 60th edition will therefore be mainly French and European at the level of its guests, but also within its competition, which will give pride of place to European fictions, such as It’s a Sin, The Defender, from the Czech Republic, the Finnish series Piece of My Heart, or the German film The Unbearable Lightness of the Revolution.
Chaired by Swedish writer, director and producer Måns Mårlind (The Bridge, Midnight Sun, Shadowplay), the Fiction Jury for the 2021 edition of the Monte-Carlo Festival will be made up ofArnaud Ducret (Parents manual, An ordinary man), Joeystarr (Polisse, The Substitute), German producer Moritz Polter (Das Boot, Freud), British writer and director Kay Mellor (Band of Gold) and Norwegian producer Anders Tangen (Lilyhammer, Home for Christmas).
Finally, it should be noted that the Opening Ceremony will be followed on June 18 by the world premiere of the South African series Reyka, co-produced by Fremantle and worn by Kim engelbrecht (Dominion, The Flash), and Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey).
