Netflix has unveiled a trailer for its animated film “Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild”, inspired by the popular video game franchise “Monster Hunter”.

Unrelated to Paul WS Anderson’s live-action feature film, Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild is not strictly speaking the adaptation of one of the games of the license; exploring an original story, the film features Aiden as the main protagonist, admittedly appearing in the saga Monster hunter but not as a playable character.
The summary offered by Netflix is as follows: “In a world where humans must coexist with formidable monsters, the young hunter Aiden fights to save his village from a dragon”. Written by Joshua Fine (the animated series Avengers: A Team of Super Heroes), the feature film is directed by special effects specialist Steve Yamamoto (Deadpool 2, Transformers: The Last Knight).
Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild will be available on Netflix from August 12.
