Expected on September 1 on our screens, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” reveals the look of its hero played by Simu Liu thanks to a first poster. And in a muscular trailer.
If all goes well, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be back on the big screen on July 7, when Black Widow is released in our homeland. The Cate Shortland film worn by Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh will then be followed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, scheduled for September 1 and which is revealed in pictures.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (States of Grace), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe installment to center on an Asian-born superhero: a kung fu master in which Simu Liu (Blood and Water) lends his features. The latter had also shared a glimpse of his character via a poster on Twitter, to celebrate his own birthday, stating that the trailer would be unveiled in a few weeks. In the end, we only had to wait a handful of minutes.
Adapted from comic books published since 1979, the feature film will also be worn by Michelle Yeoh and Awkwafina. Or Tony Leung Chiu Wai in the role of the villain who obviously formed the hero but who does not say his name in these images. It is however the formidable Mandarin, iconic enemy of Iron Man whose origins Shane Black had reviewed in 2013, arousing the anger of some fans.
Thanks to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he offers himself another incarnation on the big screen in this feature film which mixes superpowers and martial arts and promises us some fiery fights as well as a big action sequence in a bus. The start of the school year will be hectic.
